Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin and Larry Page


Childhood- Sergey was born on August 21, 1973 (37 years old). He is a Russian-born American and he is Jewish. When he was 6 years old he emigrated to the United States. Sergey was born in the USSR(Present Day Russia) Sergey's father explains how he was "forced to abandon his dream of becoming an astronomer even before he reached college". The Brin family lived in a three-room, 30 square meter (350 square foot) apartment in central Moscow. His grandma lived with them also. Sergey's father Michael major in mathematics where he recieved straight A's. He wanted to move to America to pursue the career he wanted but Sergey only picked up the details years later after they had settled in America.

Personal Life- Sergey is worth 19.8 billion dollars. Sergey married Anne Wojciki in May 2007. Anne is a biotech analyst. She graduated in 1996 in Yale University. Sergeys mother Eugenia, has been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2008.He decided to make a donation to the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where is mother was being treated.

Larry Page Born March 26, 1973 (38 years of age) Born in America and he is Jewish. Born in East Lansing, Michgian. Larry's father has a Ph.D in computer science in 1965. In college Larry got a bachelors of science degree in computer engineering from the UM with honors. He also has a masters degree in computer science from Stanford University. Larry is worth 19.8 billion dollars. He married Lucinda Southworth at Richard Branson's Caribbean island in 2007.
Business - In 1998 Larry and Sergey found Google. Page ran Google as co-president along with Brin until 2001 when they hired as Eric Schmidt Chairman and CEO of Google. Google has 20,000 employees.

Other interests- Page is an active investor in alternative energy companies, such as Telsa Motors.

Awards and recognitions- In 2003, both Brin and Page received an honorery MBA from IE Business School "for embodying the entrepreneurial spirit and lending momentum to the creation of new businesses.
